The last thing you want to do is get down the river and realize your missing some necessity items. This list will cover your basics and provide for an enjoyable trip. When you are planning on only a 4 hour trip pack for an 8 hour trip just to be safe.

- Plenty of water/gatorade/sodas.
- Lunchmeat sandwiches, granola bars, trail mix and candy bars.
- Waterproof Sunblock.
- A collapsable cooler is best suited for kayaks, they easily carry a 12 pack and form into the front of your kayak out of the way.
- A drybag to keep your personal items nice and dry.
- First-Aid kit which may include, tube tent, waterproof matches, fire starters, whistle, insect repellent, tylenol/bandages, water purification tablets, aluminum foil (boiling water or signaling), parachute cord, space blanket and extra set of dry clothes. It is very inexpensive and easy to prepare your own kit personalized to your needs.
